Learning to reel

Many people come to PGT to learn to reel before a ball or wedding. In these circumstances we strongly recommend attending at least two or three sessions before you are required to reel for real! The more practice you can put in the better, so you might like to also pay a visit to our friends at London Reels.

Dates for 2015-16 season

We start at 7.30pm and finish at 10.30pm, usually followed by a drink or two in the pub. You are welcome to come along a bit later if you cannot make it for the 7.30pm start, although if you are learning to reel then it is of course best if you can make the start. Entry is £7 (cash only) on the door.

Teaching Evenings

We start with the basic steps and soon have you dancing reels. We talk and walk through all the dances before going on to dance them. We are happy to accommodate requests for specific dances.

Social Evenings (no formal teaching)

We play a selection of the popular reels and a few of the more unusual reels. Experienced and new reelers are all welcome. If you have any questions or want any individual tuition please see any member of the committee.
